Roofing


On June 8, 2021 Certainteed Saint-Gobain suspended production of certain shingles, including Grand Manor, due to supply chain issues related to the Covid-19 pandemic.  As a result, the SHPOA Board issued temporary approval for an alternative shingle while the Grand Manor shingle was unavailable.  In September 2022, production of the Grand Manor shingle resumed.


Effective December 2022, the SHPOA Board reiterated its approval for the Grand Manor shingle and issued permanent approval for the Belmont IR shingle.  Therefore, the only 2 composition shingles that are acceptable for replacement or original installation are:


  1. Certainteed Saint-Gobain manufactured, Grand Manor model, Colonial Slate color, algae resistant shingle
  2. Certainteed Saint-Gobain manufactured, Belmont IR model, Colonial Slate color, impact resistant, algae resistant shingle

Note that the only approved color is Colonial Slate.


Windows


In 2022, the Board approved 3 specific makes and models of windows that are acceptable for replacement or new construction in Signal Hill.  These are in addition to the existing wood and aluminum clad wood options.  These windows include:

  1. Andersen Fibrex Windows
  2. Infinity from Marvin Fiberglass Windows
  3. Pella Impervia Fiberglass Windows

No vinyl windows or all aluminum windows are permitted.
